AllTrust Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Valsoft Corporation Inc. d/b/a AllTrust (“AllTrust”) and its subsidiary Aspire USA, LLC (Aspire) regarding its recent data breach. The AllTrust data breach may have involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT VALSOFT CORPORATION INC. D/B/A ALLTRUST AND ASPIRE USE LLC:

AllTrust is a financial solutions software company based in Virginia. Originally founded in 1999 under the name BioPay, AllTrust changed its name to AllTrust Networks in 2008.2,3 Today, AllTrust has products like Paycheck Secure and Retail Connect, thousands of retailers’ nationwide use AllTrust for risk management and check processing.4 The operational arm of Valsoft Corporation, Aspire operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of software companies, and AllTrust was acquired by Aspire in 2020.5,6 Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, AllTrust has over 8.5 million enrolled customers.7

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, AllTrust reported to the Attorney General of Maine that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on February 14, 2024, AllTrust became aware of unusual activity a non-production computer network which is owned and managed by their subsidiary Aspire.1 As a result, Aspire launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Aspire confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed and copied by an unauthorized third party between February 12 and February 15, 2024. As a result, AllTrust began its own review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial account information

 

On February 27, 2025, AllTrust began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to the Maine residents, AllTrust is providing affected individuals with a list of the information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
