According to the breach notice, on or around May 15, 2025, Pollard became aware of suspicious network activity.1 As a result, Pollard launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Pollard confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party on or around April 8, 2025.1 As a result, Pollard began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On July 15, 2025, Pollard completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
On September 16, 2025, Pollard began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Additionally, on August 8, 2025, Pollard began providing notice to its clients from whom Pollard receives personal identifiable information in relation to the third-party administrative services it provides them.1 Based on the breach notice being sent to Maine residents, Pollard is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services. 1 A link to the letters that Pollard filed with the Attorney General of Maine is below.
