WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Birdsong Peanuts reported to the Attorney General of Maine that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, Birdsong Peanuts identified suspicious activity within its network on June 23, 2025.1 As a result, Birdsong Peanuts began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted, as well as identify the specific individuals affected. This review concluded on July 9, 2025. The type of information potentially exposed has not yet been disclosed by Birdsong Peanuts.
On July 18, 2025, Birdsong Peanuts began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Birdsong Peanuts is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
