ABOUT FLEXCARE, LLC:
FlexCare is a medical staffing company based in California. Founded in 2006, FlexCare offers staffing services for those in nursing, allied health, or therapy travel careers.3 Additionally, FlexCare works as users’ single point of contact and searching for assignments can be done on the FlexCare 360 mobile app.4 Headquartered in Roseville, California, FlexCare has an additional office on the East Coast in charlotte, North Carolina and employs over 1,000 individuals.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, FlexCare reported to the Attorney General of Vermont that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around October 9, 2024, FlexCare identified suspicious activity in an employee’s email account.1 As a result, FlexCare launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, FlexCare confirmed that sensitive personal information in the impacted email account may have been compromised by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, FlexCare began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license
On March 5, 2025, FlexCare began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to Vermont residents, FlexCare is providing affected individuals with a list of the information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring.
