WHAT HAPPENED?
On May 29, 2024, Maxey Energy discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Maxey Energy determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information via a ransomware attack between May 26 and May 28, 2024. As a result, Maxey Energy began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
