WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Gansevoort discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Gansevoort determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information on or around February 6, 2024. On June 20, 2024, Gansevoort began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Gansevoort. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state ID number
- Account number, credit or debit card number
- Account passwords or personal identification numbers or other access codes
