Eventus WholeHealth aims to provide these medically vulnerable adults with customizable plans, employing teams of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and ancillary specialists to be the first point of contact for any medical concern that may arise. Headquartered in Concord, North Carolina, Eventus WholeHealth employs over 500 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 1, 2022, Eventus WholeHealth discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Eventus WholeHealth determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee email account. On October 6, 2022, Eventus WholeHealth began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of information has not been disclosed by Eventus WholeHealth. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Financial information
- Medical information
- Taxpayer information
- Personal identification number issued by the United States IRS
