WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, TFCU discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, TFCU determined that an unauthorized party accessed this sensitive information through TCFU employee email accounts from August 30, 2023, to September 4, 2023, and from November 14, 2023, to November 15, 2023. On February 7, 2024, TFCU began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
- Divers license numbers
