Recently, Wendy Foster discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. On February 9, 2026, Wendy Foster filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.1 Though much information is still not known about the Wendy Foster breach, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ reporting guidelines require entities to report data breaches when they involve protected health information.
