Maritz Data Breach Investigation

Maritz is a business consulting company based in Missouri. Today, Maritz provides a range of business consulting services to clients, including developing business events, loyalty rewards, employee rewards, sales incentives, automotive sales, and more.2,3 Industries serviced by Maritz vary from airlines to trade shows, automotive, eSports, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, tech, etc.3 Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Maritz employs over 1,000 individuals.3

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Maritz reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, in November 2025, Maritz discovered that an unauthorized third-party claimed to have exfiltrated data from Martiz’s Oracle E-Business Suite (“EBS”), which Maritz uses for finance-related purposes including invoicing, receiving payments, and issuing payments through Accounts Payable.1 As a result, Maritz launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Maritz confirmed that sensitive personal information in its EBS environment related to Martiz employees and clients may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party between August 10 and August 13, 2025. As a result, Maritz began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:1,4

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial account information

 

On February 27, 2026, Maritz began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, Maritz is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
