Wee Care is a pediatric healthcare company based in Utah. Today, Wee Care provides a range of pediatric healthcare services for children and their families, including pediatric medical care, dental care, orthodontics, therapy, vaccination, x-ray services, prescription dispensing, and more.2 Headquartered in Layton, Utah, Wee Care operates five locations in Layton, Roy, Kaysville, and Syracuse, Utah.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Wee Care announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, on or about December 15, 2025, Wee Care identified suspicious activity in its network.1 As a result, Wee Care launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Wee Care confirmed that sensitive personal information in its care may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Wee Care began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Contact information
- Date of birth
- Medical information (treatment/diagnosis information, prescription/medication information, dates of service, provider name, patient account number)
- Medical record number
- Medicare/Medicaid ID number
- Health insurance information
On February 13, 2026, Wee Care posted notice of the breach on its website. Based on the website breach notice, Wee Care is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
