Luxor Scientific Data Breach Investigation
Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Innovative Scientific Solutions, LLC, which does business as, Luxor Scientific (“Luxor”) regarding its recent data breach. The Luxor data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to over 140,000 individuals.

Luxor is a specialized clinical and research laboratory based in South Carolina. Founded in 2016, Luxor offers infectious disease, microbiology, genetic, hematology, chemistry and toxicology testing to healthcare providers.3 Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Luxor has an additional location in Texas and employes over 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Luxor reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around September 6, 2025, Luxor was alerted to unauthorized access to its network.1 As a result, Luxor launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Luxor confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Luxor began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Medical information (e.g., medical history, condition, treatment/diagnosis, dates of service, and prescription information)
- Health insurance policy number/subscriber number
- Financial information
On April 17, 2026, Luxor began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, Luxor is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
