Founded in 2010, Pulse provides a range of medical services for minor emergencies and worker’s compensation treatment, including allergies, fevers, minor fractures, sprains or breaks, upper respiratory infection, eye injuries, vehicle and machinery-related injuries, and more.3,4,5 Headquartered in Redding, California, Pulse employs at least 6 individuals and operates an additional facility in Red Bluff, California.2,5
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Pulse announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, on March 24, 2025, Pulse discovered suspicious activity within its network.1 As a result, Pulse launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Pulse confirmed that the sensitive personal information and protected health information in its network may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party during the breach.1 As a result, Pulse began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Home address
- Phone number
- Treatment information (dates of treatment, reasons for treatment, diagnoses)
On June 27, 2025, Pulse posted notice of the data breach on its website. Based on the website breach notice, Pulse is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted.1 A link to the website breach notice is below.
