WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Pacific Seafood announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, Pacific Seafood recently discovered unauthorized activity within its network.1 As a result, Pacific Seafood launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
On September 29,2025, Pacific Seafood confirmed that the sensitive personal information and protected health information in its network may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party between June 24 and June 25, 2024.1 As a result, Pacific Seafood began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state identification
- Passport
- Financial account information
- Medical diagnosis
- Medical treatment information
- Health insurance information
On October 14, 2025, Pacific Seafood began sending notification letters to potentially affected individuals. Based on the website breach notice, Pacific Seafood is providing the specific types of information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services for those who had their Social Security number impacted.1 A link to the website breach notice is below.
