WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Minaris reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on October 3, 2024, an unauthorized third party may have accessed certain files from the legacy Minaris network.1 As a result, Minaris launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Minaris confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its care may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party during the breach.1 As a result, Minaris began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes: 4

On September 8, 2025, Minaris began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice being sent to Massachusetts residents, Minaris is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services. 1 A link to the letters that Minaris filed with the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is below.
