WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, The Bruce Company reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or about February 1, 2025, The Bruce Company became aware of unusual activity in its environment.1 As a result, The Bruce Company launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, The Bruce Company confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party on or around February 1, 2025.1 As a result, The Bruce Company began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or State ID number
On September 12, 2025, The Bruce Company began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
