WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Statewide Enterprises reported to the Attorney General of California that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on October 17, 2024, Statewide Enterprises became aware of a disruption in its computer network.1 As a result, Statewide Enterprises launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Statewide Enterprises confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach.1 As a result, Statewide Enterprises began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

- Social Security number
- Tax identification number
- Expired driver’s license or state ID number
- Expired passport number
- Credit or debit card number
- Access information
On September 12, 2025, Statewide Enterprises began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
