WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Apex Class Action reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, Apex Class Action was first alerted on July 14, 2025, to possible unauthorized access to their address lookup vendor IMDataCenter’s environment, and as a result, launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, on July 25, 2025, Apex Class Action discovered that data in IMDataCenter’s environment was accessed without authorization during the breach.1 As a result, Apex Class Action began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
On August 15, 2025, Apex Class Action began providing notice to impacted individuals.
