Founded in 2013, OCHI offers various spa packages, lodging, dining, yoga, and more.2 The communal hot springs at OCHI are some of the only ones on Earth featuring four healing minerals: Arsenic, Lithia, Soda, and Iron in naturally sulfur-free waters.2,3 Located in Santa Fe and Ojo Caliente, New Mexico, OCHI employs over 200 individuals.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, OCHI reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or about June 20, 2025, OCHI became aware of unusual activity in its network environment.1 As a result, OCHI launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, OCHI revealed that certain information may have been viewed or copied by an unauthorized individual between June 18 and June 21, 2025. As a result, OCHI began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Bank account information
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
On August 15, 2025, OCHI began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, OCHI is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
