Recently, OCuSOFT reported to the Attorney General of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on June 19, 2025, OCuSOFT became aware of unusual activity in its network environment.1 As a result, OCuSOFT launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, OCuSOFT determined that certain information may have been viewed and copied by an unauthorized individual between June 9 and June 11, 2025. As a result, OCuSOFT began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. This review concluded on July 14, 2025. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:1
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
On July 30, 2025, OCuSOFT began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.1 Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, OCuSOFT is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
