WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Baillie reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on February 11, 2025, Baillie learned of suspicious activity within its network. As a result, Baillie launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Baillie determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain files within the Baillie network from February 6, 2025, to February 12, 2025. As a result, Baillie began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. This review concluded on July 1, 2025. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:4
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
On or about July 31, 2025, Baillie began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.1 Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Baillie is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
