On July 7, 2025, K&E Advanced Dentistry filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights. 1 Though much information is still not known about the K&E Advanced Dentistry breach, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ reporting guidelines require entities to report data breaches when they involve protected health information. Therefore, it is likely that the K&E Advanced Dentistry breach included the protected health information belonging to over 1,500 individuals. As a result of the data breach, K&E Advanced Dentistry may soon begin notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted.
