WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Adams Brown reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on May 5, 2025, Adams Brown became aware of a cybersecurity incident that impacted its third-party timekeeping vendor.1 As a result, Adams Brown launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Adams Brown confirmed on June 11, 2025, that individuals who’s information was stored on its payroll system were impacted.1 As a result, Adams Brown began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Financial account information
Recently, Adams Brown began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Adams Brown is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
