WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Wusong Road LLC, a customer of Toast, reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that Toast had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the sample breach notice, on or around July 16, 2025, unauthorized access occurred in Toast’s system which compromised sensitive information.1
According to the breach notice, the sensitive personal information potentially affected includes the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Bank account information
Toast has not yet publicly released information regarding the breach. However, as a result of the data breach, Wusong Road LLC began providing notice to impacted individuals. Based on the notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Wusong Road LLC is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted.1 A link to the breach report filed by the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is below.
