United Natural Foods Data Security Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

On June 5, 2025, UNFI became aware of unauthorized activity on some of its information technology systems.1 In response, UNFI launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident. Additionally, as a containment measure, UNFI’s took certain systems offline, which has impacted its ability to fulfill and distribute customer orders.1 As of June 10, 2025, UNFI’s systems remain offline and a timetable for their restoration remains unclear.1 On June 5, 2025, UNFI reported the incident in a Form 8-K filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. As of June 10, 2025, UNFI’s investigation is ongoing, and further details have not been made publicly available by UNFI.
