Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating NetJets Aviation, Inc. and NetJets Services, Inc. (collectively, “NetJets”), regarding its recent data breach. The NetJets data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Founded in 1964, NetJets operates one of the largest private aircraft fleets in the world, offering a full range of personalized private aviation solutions to travelers.3 Now a Berkshire Hathaway company, NetJets organizes over 1,200 global flights daily.4 Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, NetJets employs over 5,000 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, NetJets reported to the Attorney General of Vermont that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, NetJets recently identified unauthorized access to an employee’s Microsoft 365 account.1 As a result, NetJets launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, NetJets confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed and obtained by an unauthorized third party on March 12, 2025. As a result, NetJets began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
On May 30, 2025, NetJets began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Vermont residents, NetJets is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
