Conrey Insurance Brokers & Risk Managers Data Breach Investigation

The Conrey Insurance data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to over 8,700 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Conrey Insurance announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on November 13, 2024, Conrey Insurance identified unusual activity on its network.1 As a result, Conrey Insurance launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Conrey Insurance confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party between November 12 and November 13, 2024. As a result, Conrey Insurance began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On April 10, 2025, Conrey Insurance completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license/state ID number
  • Passport number
  • Tax identification number
  • Online credential information
  • Financial account information
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information

 

As a result of the data breach, Conrey Insurance posted a notice of the incident on its website. Additionally, on April 30, 2025, Conrey Insurance began sending breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the website breach notice, Conrey Insurance is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
