TSG is a privately held real estate investment and management firm based in Nevada.2 Since its inception in 2001, TSG has acquired, repositioned, developed and managed hundreds of real estate assets throughout the southwestern United States with a market value exceeding $2 billion.2 Today, TSG is focused on acquiring assets in all sectors, with a particular interest in multifamily and extended – stay assets located in urban areas with access to public transportation and major employment centers.2 Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, TSG employs over 1,000 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, TSG reported to the Attorney General of Vermont that the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, on February 2, 2025, TSG became aware of suspicious activity within its network.1 As a result, TSG launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, TSG confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems belonging to patients may have been viewed and obtained by an unauthorized third party between January 28, 2025, and February 5, 2025. As a result, TSG began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Passport number
- State identification card
- Alien registration number
- Direct deposit account number
- Signature
- Medical information
On March 31, 2025, TSG began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Vermont residents, TSG is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
