EMHS is a not-for-profit health system based in Pennsylvania. Today, EMHS provides healthcare services in a wide range of areas such as cardiopulmonary, emergency, imaging, retail pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, surgery, nutrition, laboratory, and more. Additionally, EMHS offers addiction treatment services at its Milford office.2 Headquartered in Montrose, Pennsylvania, EMHS has three additional locations in Pennsylvania.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, EMHS announced that it had experienced cyberattack that impacted its operations.1 As a result, EMHS launched an investigation and is attempting to restore the full functionality of its systems.1 In the notice posted to its website, EMHS does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems or which personal information, if any, may have been compromised. On its Facebook page, EMHS made posts about operational disruptions from March 3 to March 10, 2024, describing issues such as pharmacy closure, inability to access phone systems and medical records, and disconnect from its IdentoGO fingerprinting services.3 As of March 12, 2025, certain EMHS systems are still down and no further updates regarding the incident have been posted.
