Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics (“CTPO”) regarding its recent data breach. The CTPO data breach may have involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

CTPO is a healthcare provider based in Texas. Founded in 1990, CTPO specializes in simple pediatric orthopedic disorders as well as fractures, scoliosis, congenital hand and upper extremity disorders, sports injuries, clubfeet, complex hip deformities, limb lengthening and reconstruction, along with many other orthopedic conditions.2 Additionally, CTPO has a full-service outpatient clinic providing X-rays and casting services, along with physical and occupational therapy.2 Headquartered in Austin, Texas, CTPO has four additional locations in Texas and employs over 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On March 6, 2025, CTPO reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of March 6, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by CTPO. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Government issued ID number (e.g., passport, state ID card)
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
