WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Frederick Health announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, Frederick Health recently discovered that it had experienced a ransomware event.1 As a result, Fredrick Health launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Frederick Health confirmed that the IT incident was the result of a ransomware attack and sensitive personal information in its systems may have been impacted. As of February 4, 2025, Frederick Health’s systems have still not been restored and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
