Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Combined Systems, Inc. (“CSI”) regarding its recent data breach. The CSI data breach may have involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

CSI is a U.S based firm that supports military forces and law enforcement agencies.3 Founded in 1981, CSI is a premier engineering, manufacturing and supply company of tactical munitions and crowd control devices to armed forces, law enforcement, corrections and homeland security agencies.3 Today, CSI’s blue-chip customer base includes the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and a majority of the US law enforcement, as well as foreign military and security forces around the world.4 Headquartered in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, CSI employs over 200 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, CSI reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, on February 10, 2023, CSI detected unauthorized access to its computer systems. As a result, CSI launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, CSI learned that sensitive personal information may have been viewed and taken from its systems. As a result, CSI began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On January 31, 2024, CSI completed this review. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by CSI. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or other government identification number
- Account number, credit or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial account
On August 2, 2024, CSI began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, CSI is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
