WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, The Goodwin Firm reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, The Goodwin Firm detected suspicious activity within its network and as a result launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, The Goodwin Firm learned that sensitive personal information may have been viewed or taken from its systems on March 1, 2024. As a result, The Goodwin Firm began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On July 15, 2024, The Goodwin Firm completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
