WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Ventura County Credit Union discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Ventura County Credit Union determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information through an employee’s email account between January 29 and January 30, 2024. On June 20, 2024, Ventura County Credit Union began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
