Additionally, Jacobsen has created a new business unit – Jacobsen Building Services (JBS), which is focused on modifications, remodels, and capital improvement projects ranging from $5K to $2M.4 Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jacobsen has three additional locations in the United States and employs over 700 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In November 2023, Jacobsen discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired. Through its investigation, Jacobsen determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information between September 21, 2023, and November 26, 2023. On June 14, 2024, Jacobsen began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
