Great Bay is an independent, family-owned sales, marketing and distribution business based in Florida.2 Founded in 1968, Great Bay carries beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverage brands from international, national, regional, and local suppliers like Anheuser-Busch, Constellation, Nestle, The Wine Group, Sweetwater, 3 Daughters, Rapp, Ice Pik Distilleries and Dark Door Spirits.3 Today, Great Bay represents more than 800 brands from over 70 suppliers and services more than 3,500 licensed accounts.2 Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, Great Bay has an additional office in Holiday, Florida, and employs over 200 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Great Bay discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired. Through its investigation, Great Bay determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on or about December 16, 2023. On May 13, 2024, Great Bay began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
