Bluegrass Restaurant Holdings Data Breach Investigation

Founded in 2017, Bluegrass operates a variety of restaurant brands across the US.2 In Louisville, Bluegrass operates Jak’s Bar and Restaurant at Malibu Jack’s Family Adventure Center and Mussel and Burger Bar locations.2 Additionally, Bluegrass operates Pieology restaurants in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama and finally 35+ Panera locations in the Atlanta market.2 Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Bluegrass employs over 5,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Bluegrass discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and aquired. Through its investigation, Bluegrass determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive information through a Bluegrass email account on December 15, 2023. On May 3, 2024, Bluegrass began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
