WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, St. Marys discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, St. Marys determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information in late summer of 2023. On April 26, 2024, St. Marys began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Government issued ID number (e.g., driver’s license or state ID number, passport number, alien registration number)
- Address
- Date of birth
- Contact information
- Demographic or background information
- Financial information (e.g., bank account information, credit card number)
- Medical information (e.g., medical history, treatment)
- Insurance information
