WHAT HAPPENED?
On or about February 1, 2023, Georgetown Financial Group discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Georgetown Financial Group determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired this sensitive information through an employee email account between January 30 and February 1, 2023. On September 20, 2023, Georgetown Financial Group began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
