WHAT HAPPENED?

In February 2023, Smead Manufacturing discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Smead Manufacturing determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between February 1 and February 7, 2023, through a Smead Manufacturing email account. On March 29, 2023, Smead Manufacturing began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
