WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 11, 2022, KEMET discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, KEMET determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between October 11 and October 12, 2022. On December 9, 2022, KEMET began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Medical information (e.g., enrollment plan information, work-related claims information)
