Kaye-Smith evolved into its current form throughout the 1980s and 90s, selling its radio stations and focusing its efforts on printing and marketing services. Kaye-Smith counts numerous health care organizations and banking institutions as clients, including MultiCare Health System. Headquartered in Renton, Washington, Kaye-Smith employs more than 200 individuals and operates offices in Portland, Oregon and Eagle, Idaho.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In June 2022, Kaye-Smith discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Kaye-Smith determined that an unauthorized actor accessed the sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to its clients, including the sensitive information of employees of MultiCare Health System. Kaye-Smith further disclosed that the unauthorized actor accessed this information by launching a ransomware attack. On September 26, 2022, Kaye-Smith began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The types of information exposed includes:

- Social Security number
- Address
