Headquartered in Meriden, Connecticut, Planet Home Lending employs approximately 1,000 individuals and has additional locations in California, Texas, Florida, Maryland, and New York.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On November 15, 2023, Planet Home Lending discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its system may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Planet Home Lending determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through a vulnerability in a Citrix Systems, Inc. software program used by Planet Home Lending. On January 24, 2024, Planet Home Lending began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Loan number
  • Financial account number
