WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Omni disclosed a cybersecurity incident impacting the functionality of its systems. On April 1, 2024, Omni posted a statement on its Facebook page, stating: “Since Friday, March 29, Omni Hotels & Resorts has been responding to a cyberattack on its systems. Upon learning of this issue, Omni immediately took steps to shut down its systems to protect and contain its data. As a result, certain systems were brought offline, most of which have been restored. Omni quickly launched an investigation with a leading cybersecurity response team, which is ongoing.”1 As of April 3, 2024, Omni has not disclosed the specific nature of the cybersecurity incident and whether the incident resulted in a data breach.
