The Bernstein Companies Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating The Bernstein Companies (“TBC”) regarding a recent data breach. The TBC data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, TBC discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, TBC determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on December 29, 2023. On February 12, 2024, TBC began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Tax ID number
  • Financial account number
  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID number 
  • Health insurance policy number
