Lagunitas Brewing Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Lagunitas discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Lagunitas determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this information on or about March 12, 2024. On April 26, 2024, Lagunitas began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Lagunitas. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state ID number
  • Account number, credit or debit card number
  • Account passwords or personal identification numbers or other access codes
