CoVerica is an independent insurance agency based in Texas. WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, CoVerica discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, CoVerica determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed information through an employees’ email account between November 17, 2023, and December 21, 2023. On April 25, 2024, CoVerica began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information (e.g., financial account number, credit/debit card number) 
  • Medical information
