Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Figure Lending Corp, as well as its subsidiaries Figure Lending LLC, Figure Markets Credit LLC, and Figure Payment Corporation (collectively, “Figure”), regarding its recent data breach. The Figure data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Figure is a lending company based in New York. Founded in 2018, Figure specializes in providing home equity lines of credit and refinancing, as well as crypto-backed loans.1,3 Additionally, Figure provides technology and loan administrative services to other lenders and business partners.1 Software created by Figure has been used to provide more than $20 billion in loans to over 253,000 homeowners.2,3 Headquartered in New York, New York, Figure employs over 500 individuals and operates additional offices in San Francisco, Reno, Charlotte, and Helena.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Figure reported to the Attorney General of California that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, Figure discovered unauthorized activity on its systems.1 As a result, Figure launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Figure confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party on January 28, 2026. As a result, Figure began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
As a result of the breach, Figure began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, Figure is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
