AGI is an electronic hardware logistics company based in Pennsylvania. Founded in 2000, AGI provides a range of technology services to companies, educational institutions, and government entities, including electronic component distribution, technology repair services, custom LCD displays, battery energy storage systems, and more.2,3 Currently, AGI provides services to over 10,000 business-to-business customers and processes 2 million electronic parts annually.2 Headquartered in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, AGI employs over 200 individuals and operates seven facilities nationwide with over 250,000 square feet.2,3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, AGI reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or about October 12, 2025, AGI learned that an unauthorized individual gained access to its network.1 As a result, AGI launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, AGI confirmed that sensitive personal information in its network may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, AGI began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:4
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
- Driver’s license information
- Credit or debit card numbers
- Medical records
As a result of the breach, AGI began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, AGI is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
