Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating QualDerm Partners, LLC (“QualDerm”) regarding its recent data breach. The QualDerm data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

QualDerm is a dermatology and skin care network based in Tennessee. Founded in 2004, QualDerm provides management support, capital, IT and insurance support, and operational guidance to 158 dermatology and skin care practice across 17 states. Skin care services offered to patients by QualDerm-affiliated practices include dermatology, skin cancer care, cosmetics, plastic surgery, and pathology.2,3 Headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, QualDerm employs over 1,000 individuals.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, QualDerm announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, on December 24, 2025, QualDerm detected unauthorized activity on certain systems within its network.1 As a result, QualDerm launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, QualDerm confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems related to patients may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party between December 23 and December 24, 2025. As a result, QualDerm began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Government-issued identification information (driver’s license number)
- Doctor name
- Medical record number
- Date of death
- Email address
- Treatment information
- Diagnosis information
- Health insurance information
As a result of the breach, QualDerm posted notice of the breach on its website. Based on the website breach notice, QualDerm is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
